What Really Happens in a Chemical Reaction?

Every chemical reaction starts with one or more reactants. Atoms, molecules or  free electrons can participate. They combine, swap atoms or decompose into the  reaction’s products. If a reactant is a single atom, it’s usually in ionized  form—having too many or too few electrons. Molecules may be neutral or  ionized. The reactants must be in physical contact in order to react. This  usually means they occupy the same container and are being heated or mixed  together.

Lab Safety and Lab Equipment

There is a reason the teachers want you to know about lab safety, and the lab equipment.  It is very dangerous to taste or smell some substance that you are not familiar with, because you could be burned or get bad chemicals in your system that are unhealthy for your body to take in. It is important to know about your lab equipment because if  you you think a hot plate is a digital balance you will get seriously burned. You shouldn’t wear opened toed shoes because they are a target to chemicals or shattering glass.

Bad baseball practice

One life lesson that I learned is that you should never dump the gatoraid on the head coach especially if he’s your dad.  The reason is simple, unless you like wet, sticky rides home and than run like your in track practice and not baseball practice than you might like to do it.
When we went to practice the next day my team and I all together had nine bottles of water and thirteen bottles of gatoraid.  We had to run for two and a half hours with only five water breaks.
So    unless you like running miles and miles and a long talk on how the blue gatoraid doesn’t come out of a white baseball jersey than I don’t think you should do this.

DARKNESS

The sense I would like to lose the least would be my sight, because everyone would have to help me with everyday things. I would never get to play another sport again. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to never see anything ever again. It would be hard to read in brail, because you might guess a wrong letter. And you would never even see your family again. That’s why I would not want to be blind.

Baseball

Whoosh goes the baseball

Crack goes the bat

Next play it will come tumbling back

The roar of the crowd

The excitement of the game

Never lets me be ashamed

I like to hit it deep

And slide into the bases

I like to feel the dirt fly over my head

That’s why baseball’s fun

Baseball’s neat

Baseball’s the only thing I’ll ever need

Baseball’s awesome

Baseball’s cool

Baseball’s way better than school

Baseball’s fun and that’s what I love

The Jewish Escape

There has been a escape from Gilleleje.  There has been so many that we can’t keep track.  They have all came to Sweden.  The Jews have managed to escape because of the resistance.  there has been about three to four Jews in each boat.  There are about 10 to 15 boats.  The brave men and women risking there own life to save the  lifes of many.  All over Sweden people have been letting Jews into there homes giving them food, water, and shelter.

The hiding places they told us about were astonishing.  Three of the Jews went to Alexander Goodman’s house.  The Goodman’s have been taking care of them for six weeks now.  The Goodman’s have a three bedroom, one bathroom house with four kids plus the three Jews from Gilleleje.  The resistance put dried rabbit’s blood and cocian in a hankerchiff so when the German dogs smell it they will lose their since of smell.  that way  they can’t smell out the Jews.  The resistance is risking their own life to save the lifes of thousands.  One of the men from the resistance was killed, his name is Peter.  So for all the people reading this just pray for everyone helping the Jews.

Family Time

Over the holidays , I went to Louisiana.  The reason was just to spend time with my family. When we got there we ate a huge dinner. That roast was as big as me!

After that was the fun part.  We got to play games.   First football for the boys and Candy Land for the girls.   After that it was time to say goodbye.  When we left my grandmother said the  holidays are for family not gifts.
